About the Role
Lead Fire Alarm Technician
$30-50 per hour DOE
An established fire protection business is hiring an experienced fire alarm technician to lead commercial installation and service work, supporting other technicians and apprentices.
The Role

Install, program, test and commission new systems, upgrades and replacements.

Inspect existing systems, diagnose faults and complete repairs.

Read drawings, coordinate site work and provide technical guidance to the team.

Maintain code compliance and accurate documentation.

Explain findings and repair requirements to customers.

Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
Requirements

Experience in both commercial fire alarm installation and service, ideally with five or more years in the industry.

Strong troubleshooting, programming and commissioning skills across multiple manufacturers.

Knowledge of relevant NFPA standards and local codes.

Valid driver’s license, at least three years of licensed driving and an acceptable driving record.

Ability to work on ladders and lifts, access confined spaces and lift up to 70 pounds.
NICET certification and experience with special hazard suppression systems and releasing controls are advantages.
