Regional Sales Manager – Fire Protection

The Opportunity
An established fire protection business is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead its sales team and develop new business across an assigned territory.
This is a hands-on management position. Alongside coaching the team and taking responsibility for regional performance, you will manage important customer relationships and carry your own sales target.
The role covers recurring inspection and maintenance agreements, system installations, and related life safety and security services. You will work closely with operations to ensure proposals meet customer requirements and the business can deliver what is agreed.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the team

Manage sales professionals working both in the field and through telephone and email outreach.

Agree individual targets and review progress against team revenue goals.

Help team members improve prospecting, customer meetings, proposals and closing.

Review sales opportunities regularly, identifying where support is needed to move business forward.

Establish clear expectations for performance, follow-up and customer service.
Grow regional sales

Develop a sales plan covering new customers, existing accounts and opportunities to expand services.

Take responsibility for regional results and provide accurate sales forecasts.

Identify opportunities with commercial, industrial and residential property customers.

Work with operations and leadership on pricing, proposals and service delivery.

Maintain accurate customer records and opportunity information in the company’s CRM.

Coordinate with marketing to follow up enquiries and support business development activity.
Manage your own accounts

Meet an individual sales target alongside your management responsibilities.

Build relationships with property owners, facilities teams, contractors and other decision-makers.

Lead larger or more complex sales opportunities.

Identify additional services that would benefit existing customers.
-
Support contract renewals and long-term customer retention.

Help resolve customer concerns in partnership with the relevant operational teams.
What We’re Looking For

Experience managing a sales team within a service business, technical sector or skilled trades environment.

Evidence of achieving sales targets and improving team performance.

Experience supporting both office-based and field sales professionals.

The ability to coach others while continuing to win business personally.

Strong communication, negotiation and account management skills.

Confidence using CRM software to manage opportunities and forecast revenue.
-
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Experience in fire protection, life safety or security would be valuable. A background selling inspection agreements, maintenance contracts, installations or construction services would also be relevant.
Knowledge of applicable fire protection standards and experience supporting sales across several locations would be advantageous.
