Lead Fire Sprinkler Technician
$30-$50p/h plus up to a $5k sign on bonus!
The Opportunity
An established fire protection business is looking for an experienced sprinkler technician to carry out inspections, servicing and repairs at customer sites.
You will diagnose system faults, complete scheduled maintenance and explain any required repairs to customers. The position also includes participation in an on-call rotation for emergency work.
This opportunity would suit someone with practical sprinkler service experience who is comfortable managing their workload and completing accurate reports.
Responsibilities

Inspect, test and service fire sprinkler systems in line with applicable standards.

Investigate faults and complete repairs, including responding to emergency callouts.

Identify system deficiencies and clearly document recommended corrective work.

Apply relevant NFPA requirements during inspections and testing.

Explain findings and repair requirements to customers.

Complete service records and inspection reports accurately and promptly.

Take part in the on-call schedule.

Carry out fire pump testing where qualified and experienced.
What We’re Looking For

At least two years of experience inspecting and repairing fire sprinkler systems.

Working knowledge of the NFPA standards relevant to sprinkler inspection, testing and maintenance.

NICET certification in water-based system inspection and testing, or willingness to work toward it.

A valid driver’s license, at least three years of licensed driving experience and a driving record that meets company requirements.

Confidence working from ladders and lifts, including overhead work and access to confined areas.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.

Good organization, clear customer communication and reliable recordkeeping.
Fire pump flow testing experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.

Enhanced pay for qualifying evening and overnight work.

Minimum paid callout periods at premium rates for emergency attendance.

Additional premium pay for emergency work on designated holidays.
